Ho’oponopono Prayer Mind Hack

Ho'oponopono Prayer Mind HackWhat I’m calling the Ho’oponopono Prayer mind hack is an extremely powerful, yet super simple Hawaiian cleansing prayer that will quickly increase your vibrational frequency and cause you to feel and attract better.

I call it a mind hack for a couple of reasons: 

One, too many people negatively understand prayer as talking, asking or begging for help.

That’s not what a prayer is. But, that discussion is better suited for another day…

Two, mind hacks are understood as a tool to be used by your essential self to shortcut your mind. The hope is that this understanding leads one to know that you are not your mind.

And if you are not your mind and don’t know who you are, then, at least start asking, who am I?

It could also be called and used as a mantra, meditation or affirmation.

So, the Ho’oponopono Prayer mind hack…

Ho’oponopono Prayer 

This is a really great way to cleanse yourself, but like I stated previously with it’s names, it certainly has multiple effective uses.

I’ll let you figure them out, but they all effectively increase your vibrational frequency and cause you to feel better.

And when you feel better, you attract better.

I’ve used the Ho’oponopono Prayer as a kind of rapid reset to change my vibrational frequency when I’ve found it to be lower than I’d like.

Additionally, I’ve used this to increase my vibration just because…

To use it as a mind hack, there are four phrases that you repeat as many times as necessary. I’d suggest at least 4 times, but even once works and more than 4 can be additionally helpful. You decide.

I will put the longer, original prayer at the bottom. 

Start by calling your higher power: God, Jesus, Source, Father, etc.

Then, repeat out loud, when possible, “I’m sorry”, “please forgive me”, “thank you” and “I love you” with feeling”.

That’s it. Super simple huh?

I recommend doing the original version from time to time. Reading it is very useful, but if you can memorize it, do so.

And, do the best you can to mean it.

Pause between phrases and feel it.

Be aware of the feeling each phrase causes.

I’d also recommend that before you start, apply the principles of the Three Intentful Corrections: adjust your body and spine, deepen your breath and clear your mind.

Original Ho’oponopono Prayer

Here is the original Ho’oponopono prayer by Morrnah Simeona:

“Divine creator, father, mother, son as one. If I, my family, relatives, and ancestors have offended you, your family, relatives, and ancestors in thoughts, words, deeds, and actions from the beginning of our creation to the present, we ask your forgiveness. Let this cleanse, purify, release, cut all the negative memories, blocks, energies, and vibrations, and transmute these unwanted energies to pure light. And it is done.”

“Spirit, Superconscious, please locate the origin of my feelings, thoughts of (fill in the blank with your belief, feeling, or thoughts that you want to erase). Take each and every level, layer, area, and aspect of my being to this origin. Analyze it and resolve it perfectly with God’s truth. Come through all generations of time and eternity. Healing every incident and its appendages based on the origin. Please do it according to God’s will until I am at the present, filled with light and truth. God’s peace and love, forgiveness of myself for my incorrect perceptions. Forgiveness of every person, place, circumstances and events which contributed to this, these feelings, thoughts, and beliefs.”

Does It Help To Be Rich?

Does It Help To Be Rich WomenLet me answer the “does it help to be rich” question in two ways.

The first way: no.

It doesn’t matter who you are or what your status, gender, color, size, nationality, bank account, etc. is; the world works the same for everyone.

Here’s why…

Try this: imagine that since you were born you’ve been collecting pebbles.

You know, tiny rocks not Fred and Wilma’s baby (she’s grown now – I guess).

When you first started collecting them, you didn’t even know you were collecting them. It just kind of happened.

You find and secure dozens or more per day. 

You like some pebbles more than others and are proud of them.

Although you do lose and return some, imagine that you carry them around, everywhere you go, every single day. 

Think of the burden that would be to your experience.

How far could you go? 

What a struggle that would be.

What would your relationships be like? 

Where would you live?

Job, friends, family?

How would you buy food?

When you are rich, you can have a nicer way to carry your pebbles around, but you’ll likely have more of them and you still have to take them everywhere. 

So the burden can be larger; and it’s more difficult to get rid of.

Now imagine that your pebbles are not pebbles but they are your thoughts and beliefs.

*NOTE: This analogy will also works with judgments and possessions.  

And, each thought and belief has weight, just like the pebbles. 

Some thoughts and beliefs weigh you down more than others.

When you are consciously thought free, like while in meditation or love, you are as light as you can be.

No pebbles!

You are free from your pebbles. Liberated!

That buoyant, boundless feeling is joy.

So…

Isn’t that the way it really is?

The truth is that you can easily drop your burdens. You don’t have to carry them around.

When you do, you are free.

But most don’t. 

Mostly because no one has ever taught us how to drop them, not be afraid to drop them, not get tricked into not dropping them and, of course, how to to stop creating them in the first place. 

This is a big chunk of what I teach and what I’m attempting to teach right now.

I hope that maybe something I say or do, clicks and you realize that you don’t need carry around unwanted and unhealthy burdens (that you mostly accumulated unknowingly as a child).

And, that they are easy to drop when you know how.

The 2nd way to answer does it help to be rich:

If you measure riches not as the amount of stuff you have or own, but by how much you have authentically lived or by how much you need, then it helps to be rich.

I guess the correct answer to does it help to be rich is, it depends on what you are measuring.

Negative Effects of Meditation

I recently wrote about the benefits of meditation and today I thought I’d flip the coin and discuss the negative effects of meditation.

The timing works out well for another reason also, I just read an article discussing the dark side of meditation. I found the article interesting and decided to do a bit of further research.Negative Effects of Meditation

Here’s my take away on the several articles that I read…

They all discussed the possibility of experiencing negative side effects like, nausea, headaches, hallucinations and amplification of emotional problems.

A Critical Meditation Distinction

In my over 20 years of meditation, I never experienced any negative physical side effects. However, I did experience what I may describe as hallucinations while meditating; seeing colors and light with movement.

I wouldn’t say that I experienced amplified emotional problems, but emotions do become more obvious.

That leads me to the important distinction that seemed to be missing from each of the articles I read.

That distinction is that meditation is conscious non thinking. So, if you are perceiving an emotion, a hallucination, a headache as a problem, then you are not meditating. You are thinking.

The problem arises from a deficiency in our language. We understand meditation as a doing when in fact it is exactly the opposite.

We confuse meditation with meditation techniques.

Meditation is less the problem and the problem has more to do with the meditation technique being used.

By the way, one of the articles was relatively clear about this, but the others, not so much…

Meditation, as I stated earlier is conscious, non thinking. Meditations, meditating and doing meditation describe techniques to assist you in becoming meditative; or again, conscious but without thought.

So, in my opinion, which wasn’t clear in any of the article I read is this; Meditation, if you are conscious and not thinking, has very few if any negative effects.

You may get cramps, but that’s not meditations fault, it’s your position or duration.

My point is conscious non thinking is never the problem, it’s almost always something else.

How to Overcome the Negative Side Effects of Meditation

Also in my opinion, the most common problem is the meditator having the wrong meditation technique for their unique experience and personality.

This why having a coach, someone who has practiced meditation for years and years is so valuable.

A coach can also address another common side effect of meditation, and that is the dealing with confusion, stuck and misinterpretations. This is the negative mental side of meditation and how anxiety, depression and amplified emotional issues come into play.

Overcoming your ego and the unhealthy, ineffective and self destructive thoughts, beliefs and convictions we all have is part of the process. But, like I did and you may too when you go it alone, you may go down some “wrong” paths that keep you stuck and suffering. Occasionally, problems become exacerbated.

The Three Intentful CorrectionsI’ve been doing the Qi Gong and the Three Intentful Corrections for a couple of decades now.

I swear by the benefits.

If you are unfamiliar, Qi Gong is a mind-body, healing, exercise, meditation practice. It’s like Yoga but different and the three Intentful Corrections are a foundational component of Qi Gong.

You may be more familiar with Tia Chi. Tia Chi is a derivative of Qi Gong.

Anyhow, the Three Intentful Corrections is said to distill the healing elixir within and promises healing on every level of our being.

“Minding the body and the breath, and then clearing the mind, distills the elixir within.” – Chinese Teacher

Basically, you will be consciously using you mind, body and breath to create balance and harmony in your mind, body and life.

As I said, I’ve been doing Qi Gong and the three intentful Corrections for probably 20 years or so and I rarely get sick.

I can’t even remember the last time I was sick. Sure, I get sniffles from time to time but never anything that would have me miss a day of work.

Can I say it’s all do to Qi Gong and the Three Intentful correction?

No, but…

I certainly believe it helps.

I would also add that meditation has been scientifically shown to have health and healing benefits. IMHO, meditation is like magnified sleep. It returns your body to homeostasis. Only meditation works better, faster and has numerous other benefits.

And, Qi Gong is a meditation.

How to Do the Three Intentful Corrections

I learned about them from reading Roger Janke’s book The Healing Promise of Qi. There were many beneficial teachings in the book but this was my big take…

The three Intentful Corrections is basically 3 simple steps in my words.

  1. Adjust your body and spine
  2. Deepen your breath
  3. Clear your mind

Simple right?

Just do them as often as possible. Do them as many times a day as you can.

Here’s a video I just found on YouTube of Roger explaining what to do that I highly recommend watching.

Most Powerful Book

The Most Powerful Book I Ever Read

Most Powerful BookBefore I tell you what the most powerful book I ever read was, I want to recap how we got here.

First, I mentioned great spiritual books that didn’t make my top 3 including The Celestine Prophecy, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Dancing Wu Li Masters, Be Here Now, The Seven Laws of Spiritual Success, The Four Agreements, The Seat of the Soul .

There were many more that I didn’t include (and for the purposes of this posts series I’ve discluded religious books like The Bible and the Tao Te Ching).

Then, I shared my third most powerful book I ever read and my second most powerful book I ever read. Namely The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolley and The Pathwork of Self-Transformation by Eva Pierrakos respectively.

The Most Powerful Book

So, the most powerful book I ever read is Osho’s The Book of Secrets.

No doubt!

Osho, also known as Rajneesh, Acharya Rajneesh and Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh is a controversial figure who called himself the “spiritually incorrect mystic”.

But, don’t let that influence you negatively.

I frequently advise people not to trust me but to listen, evaluate and decide for yourself. Let me earn your trust by repetitively helping you. When I have earned your trust, continue listening, evaluating and deciding for yourself.

The basis for that is also much of the basis of what Osho talks about in The Book of Secrets.

The Book of Secrets is Osho’s interpretation of the 112 meditations described in the Bhagavad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita is a Hindu scripture from around the second century BCE.

It took me about 4 years to complete the book. By “complete the book” I mean, play with all 112 meditations.

I say “play” because, that’s what I did. It’s always been a core philosophy of mine and it’s also what Osho recommends.

This is a serious book that can only be leveraged through playful implementation.

Have you ever heard that said about a book before?

Regardless, “playful implementation” is an important clue to successfully using this book.

You must be playful and you must do the work or you will get less benefit.

This Book Is Not for Everyone

But, If you are serious about your meditation practice, then this is the one book you should buy:
Get Osho’s The Book of Secrets now

If you are just beginning your meditation practice, I recommend an easier Osho book like Pharmacy for the Soul.

Or, in a similar fashion to how I found Osho, you could just go to Amazon and get one of his books that just seems to “speak to you”.

Anyhow, I highly recommend introducing yourself to the subtle wisdom of the most powerful book I ever read as you will, if you playfully implement the discourse, likely enjoy a powerful transformation.

Benefits of Meditation

Benefits of Meditation That Gurus Never Share

You probably already know the more common benefits of meditation like increased performance and focus; better sleep and more energy; reduced stress, depression and anxiety; improved emotional health and a myriad of additional and health benefits.

But, they are not necessarily the best benefits of meditation. Sure, they are if you are suffering from any one of them.Benefits of Meditation

Hidden Benefits of Meditation

Opportunity to Self Realize

When you meditate, you become more conscious and begin to dis-identify with your ego.

As you become conscious, you realize your essential, eternal and “true” self (sometimes called your higher self) then begin feeling whole, complete, at ease, confident and in control.

Feeling incomplete, conflicted, like something is missing, broken or just not right is caused by not knowing your essential self.

Meditation is the best way to reveal your true self and self realize.

Ability Master Your Mind

When you become conscious you gain the ability to master your mind and end stress, struggle and suffering. That’s the second major benefit of meditation.

What causes all the stress, struggle and suffering in your life is your un-mastered mind. And, you cannot master your mind without being conscious.

So, meditation is the best way to be conscious and master your mind.

Ability to Consciously Create Your Reality

As you become conscious and master your mind, you gain the the third major benefit of meditation: the ability to consciously create any reality you wish.

Therefore, unwanted people, circumstances and experiences are a result of not consciously creating your reality. Life will seem beyond your control and negative things will happen to you. You are a victim of life, but more accurately, a victim of not consciously creating.

When you master your mind, you control what you think, believe, feel, create and attract.

When you consciously create, your needs and wants are quickly and effortlessly fulfilled.

Meditation is the best way to increase consciousness and create your best life.

Meditation: The Last of the 4 Steps of Thinking

Meditation, the last and fourth step of the 4 steps of thinking.

Hopefully, you have read the previous posts on freestyle, contemplation and concentration. If you have, you know we talked a lot about space, movement, boundaries, consciousness and energy.

These important clues will probably make more sense as we talk about meditation and other metaphysical subtleties.

Now, we are into where the magic really happens.

Meditation is like the conscious off button for your mind.

Meditation is conscious non thinking.

If you stopped thinking but were NOT conscious, you’d be unconscious, dead or hypnotized.

It is extremely import to recognize the importance of being conscious. Seriously, I just wrote that.

BTW, hypnosis has its uses, but consciousness is where it’s at.

Actually, and it took me years to figure this out, but, consciousness is the answer, solution, cure and XXXX to everything.

Don’t believe me? Try contemplating it until you are able to disprove it. : )

Anyhow, before I move on, I’d like to mention another extremely notable point about meditation. And that is that increases your energy, it restores your body and mind and opens you up to accessing the infinite power and intelligence of the universe.

Right! It’s really powerful stuff.
