My Favorite Time I Got Rejected By a Pretty Woman

My Favorite Time I Got Rejected By a Pretty Woman

My Favorite Time I Got Rejected By a Pretty WomanI want to tell you about my favorite time I got rejected by a pretty woman.

My memory is a bit fuzzy on some of the minor details because it happened probably 20 years ago; probably more.

For instance, I’m thinking I was in my late 20’s and she was 35. But, I may have been 30; or early 20’s for that matter.

I never thought ages were that important, another reason for the vagueness.

However, the sentiment is accurate.

I first saw her while shopping for groceries in my local, Long Island King Kullen. Hampton Bays to be exact.

She had long wavy dark hair and just the kind of proportions and curves I like.

I can also tell you exactly what she was wearing; black leather pants and a tight white sweater top that exposed her belly.

Not exactly your typical go-to-market wear, but…

Have you ever seen those old cartoons where the dog or wolf sees a pretty woman then goes cuckoo for coco puffs? His tongue falls out, steam comes out of his ears and body parts twist in circles.

That’s about what happened to me except it was all going on inside.

I thought she was crazy gorgeous.

I followed her through the isles putting shit in my basket that I didn’t want or need.

…trying my best to appear like I wasn’t stalking her.

I knew I had to talk to her but I was nervous about doing so.

What would I say?

What if she said no?

Back then I still got nervous talking to women. Now I just behave like I’m 5 years old and walk up, say my name and ask if she wants to be friends or play with me.

So, before my basket started to overflow I talked myself into talking to her.

Nothing good was going to happen from not talking to her.

And, if she said “no”, at least I tried and I wouldn’t have to live with the regret of not asking.

I made my approach, big smile and doing my best to muster confidence

I’ve been shot down by better…

Well, maybe not, but I certainly have been shot down before. Although mostly at clubs, not the supermarket.

I still didn’t know what I was going to say, but usually something comes out…

So, I said “My name’s Bill and I just had to introduce myself because you are so gorgeous”.

She smiled gratefully and said “thank you, thank you so much for saying so”.

She went on to say that she was married but yesterday was her birthday, she just turned 35 and was sensitive about her age and looks.

Maybe that was the reason for the sexy leather pants and short sweater outfit?

She told me that I made her day by talking to her and she was so grateful I did so.

We talked for a few minutes but I walked away never so happy being rejected.

I don’t think I was ever rejected so gracefully and kindly.

So much so that I can recall this memory from 20 plus years ago so clearly.

I know many are afraid to talk to strangers, especially when you are young because we’re wrongly taught that strangers may be dangerous.

We’re also taught to protect our egos. Truly dangerous.

Now, I talk to strangers a lot.

Young, old, pretty, men, women – it doesn’t matter.

I’ve met so many amazing people It’s unbelievable to me.

I’ve created a reality where everyone I meet is super kind, helpful and interesting.

I expect it.

I could tell you a million stories to substantiate the truth of this claim.

It could be your reality too.

It takes some time to replace your fears, but once you do, you stop finding what you are afraid of and whatever you want manifests instead.

I designed a whole course to teach you how to overcome the thoughts and beliefs that are sabotaging your dreams and how to create whatever you want to have, experience or feel.

Anyone can do it too.

It’s way simple.

Once you read through the course your perspective on life will never be the same.

You will gain so much clarity and confidence you won’t recognize yourself.

You’ll feel even better when you implement the simple, included techniques.

So, I guess the point of this story is that if you are ever afraid to talk to someone that interests you, conquer your fear head on and even if you get rejected, it may become your favorite time you got rejected and an extremely positive memory you cherish for the rest of your life.

Footprints in the Sand

Footprints in the Sand

I was like “What, only one set of footprints in the sand?” So, I said “Dude, what’s up with that?” – William Cassidy

Footprints in the Sand

As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.

I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.

I was like “What, only one set of footprints in the sand?” So, I said “Dude, what’s up with that?”

My Lord lovingly whispered, “The tide washed my prints away, you jackass”!

In an “attempt” to make self realization, mind mastery and conscious creation fun, I like to joke around.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not…

But, I guarantee that if you hire me as your coach, you will grow and have fun while doing it.

You likely won’t laugh at all my jokes (I may).

But, your life, with my direction will become infinitely easier and more enjoyable.

So, if you want to end stress, struggle, suffering and stuck in your life and create a life of ease, abundance and fulfillment, then let’s talk.

Seagull Stories

Everybody Should Have Lots Of Seagull Stories

Seagull StoriesAlthough I have many Seagull Stories, I want to tell you the original.

I lived in the Hamptons on the eastern end Long Island, New York for most of my life.

Often, you could find me at one of my favorite spots: the inlet to the Shinnecock Bay that separates Southampton and Hampton Bays.

On the Hamptons Bays side is where you find me for this account.

I sat in my truck, as I often did, just watching the ocean, people, birds, life…

I think it was towards the end of summer as many people were out but it wasn’t too hot.

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a seagull hopping. Something was definitely wrong with him.

Immediately, as if directed by some unseen intelligence, I grabbed a knife out of my center console and the towel off of my passenger’s seat.

Taking a circuitous route towards the distressed bird, I sneaked up behind him as Ninja as possible.

He was severely tangled in fishing line and every time that he flapped his wing up the hook would dig into his leg and kind of trip himself.

That’s why when you fish you always make sure to properly dispose of any unwanted line.

I’m pretty sure some of his mean seagull friends were laughing at him but even worse was the fact that he was extremely likely to become fox food.

I threw the towel around him to trap his wings and wrapped him up like a baby so that he couldn’t move or flap.

Basically, he surrendered to me as if he knew I was going to help him.

So, I started cutting and untangling the line and removed the hook from his leg.

Like I said, he was severely tangled so this whole endeavor must have taken 15 minutes or more.

I was totally “in the moment” and totally unaware of what was going on around me.

A large crowd gathered and watched me.

Eventually, I completed my mission and said goodbye to the bird.

But  before removing the towel, when he knew that he was OK, he looked as me as if to say how much he appreciated my help but he was obliged to give me a token “peck” because the other birds were watching.

I clearly understood.

I let him go.

He gave me half-hearted peck and flew away.

The crowd behind me started clapping and cheering.

I had no idea…

It’s difficult to explain how good of a freeing it was to free that seagull.

Helping and having positive impact is one of the best feelings in life.

I had purpose, took inspired action and created a positive consequence.

Such an amazing feeling. I can even feel it now as I write this.

Also, I get it when I coach someone to a personal success.

And, It’s even more intense when I coach someone to find their purpose, take inspired action and create positive consequences, results and/or impact for themselves.

I know this is a simple little story, but the effects are massive.

And, the little successes add up to a life well lived.

I call these little success stories “Seagull Stories”.

Feel free to share your Seagull Stories below. I would love to hear them…

Most importantly however, is that when you are living, or re-living, the little successes, you are not living and re-living your failures, disappointments, traumas and current dramas.

So, would you like to experience the highs of purpose and positive impact on a more frequent basis?

I can help you.

If you are not creating Seagull Stories daily, you are not living your best life.

Stop wasting your life and get on the fast track to living a healthy happy, abundant life filled with passion, purpose and positive impact. Get personal coaching with me and accelerate your results.
